Those classic stripes are easy to obtain thanks to the well balanced full width rear roller. This Mountfield S461R PD rear roller is easy to use and you can get right up to paths and edges. Ideal for lawns up to 40m x 40m, you can be assured of a superb finish with a minimum of fuss and effort on your part.
The steel chassis is robust and powder coated in the classic “Mountfield red” and is built to last you for years and years. The quick connect washing link ensures this machine is easy to keep clean, simply attach the hose and quickly rid your lawn mower of the loose grass and dirt that collects underneath. You will be ensuring your machine is kept in tip top condition, drastically reducing the amount of maintenance it requires over its long life.
As you would expect from a premium lawn mower such as this, it is self propelled. This means that this Mountfield S461R PD is driven by the rear wheels being powered by the powerful Stiga 166cc ST170 OHV engine. It's easy to start thanks to the auto choke system.
The 46cm cutting width is generous and will allow you to move quickly and efficiently around your garden. The height of cut adjustments offer you 5 pre-set heights that range from 20-70mm. Ideal in most conditions you can set the height to suit the length of your grass and be assured of a nice neat finished whatever length you started with.
The 55 litre collector is more than enough to cope with your needs, and is easy to empty and features a bag full indicator to ensure you never overfill it, which cuts the risk of the mower becoming clogged up with grass. At which point you would need to stop work and unclog it by hand, a time consuming and frustrating job. The hard top is a clever idea as it minimizes the amount of dust that can fly up into your face as you mow.
The operator presence control will give you peace of mind as you work as the lawn mower cannot be left to idle and therefore it cannot be operated in your absence. This means you can potentially save on petrol which is great news for your wallet and the environment.
