You can be assured of plenty of power and incredibly smooth operation thanks to the heavy duty high torque cone clutch transmission which provides power to the 127mm diameter full width steel rear roller that will give you those classic stripes.
As you would expect from an exceptional mower such as this Mountfield SP505R V it is self propelled so you won’t need to push. Simply direct it around your garden with a minimum of effort. An infinite amount of speeds between 3 - 4.9km/h ensure you can find something to suit your pace - whether you like to take your time or you need to get your work done as soon as possible, the choice is yours. Changing speeds is smooth and absolutely faultless. As soon as you find the speed to suit your needs you will literally glide around your garden using up very little energy.
This Mountfield SP505R V has a generous 48cm cutting width. It features the innovative twin clip system - the twin clip blade has 4 cutting surfaces instead of the traditional two. The cutting edge of the Twinclip blade reduces the initial length of the grass with the second cutting edge reduces the finished length down to the desired height.
The extra fine cuttings are then efficiently blown into the large 80 litre collector and Mountfield suggest this system is around 20% more productive than the conventional system. The 8 preset cutting heights are easy to change using a single lever and range from a super low 13mm right up to a generous 65mm and ensure your lawn mower is suitable for all conditions. The anti-scalp plate ensures an even and smooth finish even on the lowest setting.
The quick connect washing link is a clever feature and allows you to keep the deck clean by simply attaching your garden hose.
The operator presence control means you can never leave your lawn mower to idle either by accident or on purpose. This not only saves you petrol in the long run but it also means the lawn mower cannot be operated in your absence which is great news if you have children around.
