Boasting a double sided cutting blade which has been designed by Stihl to cut through the toughest of hedges, it can cope with a variety of tasks - whether that's just general day to day maintenance or that first cut of the season. The best cutting position can be found every time thanks to the swivelling multi-function handle which can be rotated by 90° to the left and right.

This reliable hedgetrimmer from Stihl features durable blades and gearbox and a reduction in weight and therefore offers increased efficiency, allowing you to make light work of all those trimming tasks. It's easy to start too, as it features a manual fuel pump (purger) and the innovative Stihl ErgoStart (E) which cuts the effort required to start the tool by half. For your convenience, the starter cord can be pulled at just one third of the normal force.

It's important to note the “R” variation of the Stihl HS82 is designed for large volume cutting, which is why Stihl suggests that they are suited to professional users. Their typical features include a cutting blade with wide tooth spacing and longer tooth height, and the gearing allows a high cutting power at a medium stroke rate. Therefore they are excellent at cutting thicker branches and completing clearing work faster.

The HS82 RC-E features a reliable and powerful Stihl 2-mix engine and this is in addition to the innovative anti-vibration system and the new “master control lever” that combines the choke, startup, operating position and stop functions all in one, a worldwide first on a petrol hedge trimmer. Thanks to the fully encapsulated ignition system the STIHL HS 82 RC-E is protected from damp and dirt and therefore starts reliably.

For your comfort, Stihl has developed an anti-vibration system. The oscillations from the machine's engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles. As any gardener knows, those bone shaking and intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms, but now you won’t need to worry about that with the Stihl HS 82 RC-E petrol hedge trimmer.

For your convenience, the filler cap can be opened and closed without the need for additional tools and the Long-life air filter system ensures longer cleaning intervals and better protection of the engine.
